Henrico’s Glover Park Plaza, part of the overall Glover Park Field Complex, paid tribute to the late Dick Glover and his work for the County with a memorial monument and dedicated gathering space. Warner Larson provided the landscape architectural design to enhance this gathering area and accentuate the monument. A stunning steel pergola is the center piece of the space, which utilizes a unique overhead paneling system to provide shade for park users and is complemented by a unique concrete unit paver design, and ornamental planter layout. Warner Larson has also retained for design enhancements and 3D visualizations of the entry monument to the park as well as the concepts and design vision for a trail system, splash pad, and playground.

The Splash Pad at Eastern Henrico Recreation Center was a collaboration that resulted in a heavily used and much-needed respite for the community. Warner Larson’s landscape design concept included a phased approach working around the existing rest room building. The spray park opened in Spring of 2017 and included a compelling-colored concrete pavement design to complement the spray equipment. Warner Larson worked with the civil engineer by providing the required supporting documentation for the County’s POD review process.
